Story
The story is set in 1952 in the fictional community of Grey Rocks Nova Scotia. where Jim (Gage Munroe), a 12-year-old boy, faces bullying at school. His widowed mom (Carrie-Anne Moss) runs a neighborhood inn, which is facing a takeover through a rich family. Sea captain Charles Johnson (Donald Sutherland) appears to assist Jim and his mother via their struggles. However, Johnson appears to be a pirate who supposedly died two centuries ago.[1][2]
The story is based totally on William Gilkerson’s e book Pirate’s Passage which gained the 2006 Governor General’s Award for English-language children’s literature.[3]
